The topic of this work is the translation of children's literature. It is of undoubted interest, since children's literature is a special section of literature that requires special techniques in the work of a translator. The relevance of this problem, from the author's point of view, is that children's literature contributes to the education of the child's personality, the development of his aesthetic consciousness, and the formation of his worldview. Children's literature helps to actively master speech, to feel the beauty and expressiveness of the word, expands the idea of the world. The author believes that in our time, due attention is not paid to this problem. This is due to the emergence of a large number of other sources of information. According to the author, children's literature is the best source of information for a child. The object of research in this work is the features of the translation of children's literature into Ukrainian. The subject of the research is the problems that arise when translating children's literature into Ukrainian. The purpose of the research is to study the features and consider the problems of translating children's literature into Ukrainian. The objectives of the goal are as follows: - consider the theoretical foundations of the translation of children's literature; - to analyze the problems of translation of literature for children. This goal determined the structure of the study: an introduction, two chapters, one of which is practical, and a conclusion. In the introduction, the object and subject of research is determined, the purpose and tasks of the work are indicated, and the structure of the work is given. The first chapter examines the theoretical foundations of the translation of children's literature. We are talking about the purpose of fiction (including children's literature) as a means of moral, aesthetic and other aspects of the upbringing of the younger generation, as well as the peculiarities of translating foreign language children's literature into Ukrainian. Of all the features of translation, the three most important problems are singled out and substantiated theoretically in order to investigate the problems in practice in the second chapter of the work. The second chapter is devoted to the practical study of the problems of translation of children's literature. In conclusion, the author cites the conclusions he came to on the basis of the study. During the study of translation problems, the method of comparative analysis of translation was used, which involves the comparison of two or more translation options of the same original, which allows, from the author's point of view, to reveal the problems under study more broadly.
