The practice of modern management in the countries of Western Europe was largely shaped under the influence of American management. However, modern Western European management has certain features due to the realities of the current economic situation in these countries. They include: - the transition from the dictation of the seller to the dictation of the consumer; - elimination of interstate barriers for the movement of goods and money; - penetration into the markets of European countries of goods of the companies of the USA and Japan. Features of the German and Swedish management system. In Germany, a special role is played by collegial managerial responsibility and a system of remuneration. The head of the department is accountable not to the general manager, as in US firms, but to the board of directors, which consists of 3 to 15 people. This system works efficiently, since the board includes various functional managers that do not allow distortions in favor of certain functions. If the American firms, focusing on individuality and responsibility, link the pay of the division management with the results of his work, then in German and French firms, there is no such dependence. The Swedish model of the market economy system is based on the traditions of active state intervention in the system of distribution and redistribution of gross domestic product for the benefit of the majority of the population. The tradition, or rather, economic policy, began to emerge in the 20 years of our century, when the concept of social protection of citizens was formed: "from birth to death".
